Well, for quality, I'd also go with DVDREasy because it uses HC and that is a full re-encode and not a transcode, as that is the case with DVDShrink. And that does make a big difference

I also forgot DVDRebuilder if you want to keep all the DVD and not only the main movie. But quality is lesser as there is more things to put on the disc.

With the DVD-Rebuilder option.

You could use DVD Shrink on the DVD menus and shrink those and leave the movie and/or extras with 0% compression and then run that through DVD-RB and the quality will be better.

I prefer DVD-RB for backing up my DVDs to KDVD and I am very very pleased with the results I get.

If just max quality on DVD-5 counts, then in 90% I dropped DVD-RB as in 90% of backing up my sources I like to choose no menue. The chapters are still in the VOB, so chapter tracking is no problem.

Often a "just the movie" DVDshrink results in better quality then DVD-RB full DVD Backup incl. menue, extras at half width etc.
But I often do choose (as it makes fun) an avisynth prepared bitstream going into CCE using low cutting matrix and the AC3 kept at original kbps.

DVD Rebuilder Pro supports movie only mode, movie+menus mode (blanking extras) and movie+menus+slideshow extras.
