Hello all. I have been trying to convert a dvd to vcd using dvd2avi as frame server to out put d2v file and seperate wav file. The film is a dvd rip with dvd decrypter dvd2avi says the frame rate is 23.976, 4:3 aspect ratio, ntsc,720X480, 113min long audio AC3 T01 2_0ch 192Kbps 48KHz. Destination is kvcd, mpeg2 framerate 23.976, resolution 352 by 240, 1:1(VGA), audio sample rate 48khz, encoding using TmpgEnc (x3 template) muxing app TmpEnc, authoring app Vcdeasy, Burning app Vcdeasy. I have tried creating a file that will fit on a single cd but to get decent video quility it seems my CQ setting needs to be above 70 and min bitrate to be around 400 or so. I have been dooing a lot of reading and now have at least 10 to 15 apps installed and am getting a bit confused. I encode ES video only then I use TmpgEnc Simple Multipex. I am also using Belight to create a mp2 file(not sure if I have that all set-up properly. What ever help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
