What is better, KVCD Plus or 2CD?

Hey guys, I am a newbie to this and need some help. I have tried both of these templates and I really can't tell a difference.

What is the major difference between these two templates? Is one better than the other under different circumstances?

How do I know if the DVD I am backing up is 23.9 fps or 29.9 fps? When I load the VOB into programs it says it is a 29.9 fps, but I used DVD2AVI and both of these templates above and it seemed to work fine.

Can I use this method to change my home videos into 23.9 fps?

Thanks for the help!

Hi dynokeith,

The 1CD template is slightly lower quality than the 2CD. The purpose is to be able to fit more in the 1CD, at the expenses of lower video quality. On a regular TV set, you probably won't notice a difference. On a HDTV, you will! All the KVCD PLUS templates are better than the originals. The ones not labeled PLUS.
You can encode with the templates your home videos, but you'll have to encode at 29.97fps and deinterlace. Unless you are making SVCD or SKVCD , which you don't have to deinterlace.
