interlaced?

Hello!

I want to know if it's better to check the interlaced option or not.

Thanx :)

It all boils down to your source and to your script.
Basically if your source is interlaced as in NTSC region movies and if your script maintains your movie interlaced, then check the interlaced option under HQ.
I'm in PAL land and I don't have any interlaced source so that I can try such feature but I think I remember some users posting issues when using that feature...
Maybe someone from NTSC land can clear that up for us or even you can if you try it on an interlaced source ;-).
Cheers

I'm in PAL land and I have done several movies captured from my Hi8 tapes, which are interlaced, and they were encoded interlaced with HC without any problems...

So if your source is interlaced and you want to keep it interlaced, then check the interlace option in HC, in all other cases you dont have to.

Thanks to all!

You have told me everything I wanted to know about interlaced option of HC Encoder. I'm in PAL land, and I still haven't tried this option, but I'll try it in the next one.
