KVCD: Scripts - How to do and when to insert?
Hello to all looking in,
I will try to explain clearly where I am at so here goes, My source will always tend to be VCD 2cd's NTSC sometimes PAL which I would of downloaded. Now I can complete a kvcd so I'm alright as far as that. It's just that I do not do any scripts! I miss that part out completely. My final results are still respectable as I use the templates KVCD-CQ-352X240 NTSC or KVCD-352X288 PAL as you know depending on the source. But want better quality because with a good script you can? Can somebody please help me on this script stuff I have read up on it and it still confuses me! I have downloaded FITCD as it seems I will need this, Can anyone walk me through this? Based on the VCD sources I use or have a script that I would need? How do I do the script and at what point does it come into my process? Any help appreciated  |
Hi kathleenbilly,
First things first. We don't talk about downloaded VCDs. Now, about AviSynth filters, start here: http://www.avisynth.org/index.php?page=YourFirstScript That should be your starting point. Using scripts will allways help you get better quality from your encodes, but reencoding a VCD (or any other already compressed source) will always look worse than the original, so we only recommend encoding from DVD sources. -kwag |
Ok I have fit CD
And I'm trying to work it out so here goes.... Load source file into Fitcd IE: In my case it will be an VCD joined 2cd Mpeg (No audio) Load a script which I can copy and paste into FITCD? (I need a script please for VCD) You then load the saved script into Tmpeg which works as a middle man between your original file and Tempeg? Is this right So I think I need 1) A Script for VCD's as my source either in NTSC or PAL 2) Instructions on the settings in FITCD for making a one CD kvcd 790mb file which (includes the audio as such) Please help as I'm close? |
Thanks,
kwag for the reply now reading up on the info given thanks, Sorry about the vcd stuff  Had a read anyone got a script I could use in the Fit cd program to improve my encodes? |
