I made a kdvd disc with 3 movies on it. I lost one of the movies from my hard drive. I want to extract it from the image ISO i made of the kdvd disc. I am able to get the vob files but i want to extract the mpeg2 in tact from them. As I have spent the time encoding the kdvd mpg in the first place. Please tell me how. I know I could make a d2v project file but that will only help me if I re encode it.

Hi phuquehair,

Open the VOBs you want with TMPGEnc, using the "MPEG Tools" option, and select "De-multiplex".
Then you double click on the MPEG video stream, and it will extract the .M2V.

this works very well. I am surprised to find another use for tmpgenc again. This is my favorite app for encoding. So damned versatile. I am never bored with it. Thank you very much again for your help. One of these days I will have to check out using scripts like you fellas do. I keep putting it off cuz the quality is already so great. I am sue it only gets better though.

Note: if what you need if the mpeg (audio + video) and not only the m2v (the video), then you just have to rename the ".vob" into ".mpg".

Vobs and mpegs are very close and generally, just the rename is enough (except for some programm that make the difference and do not accept vob files).
