Desparately trying to capture with VDUB

Hi All,

I am trying since several weeks to capture with VDUB, but I always got the message that "No capture driver available". I am using WIN TV Go as capture card and have also downloded the latest version of the driver and application from Hauppage homepage. Capturing via the WINTV application is working well, even in Video Studio it is possible.
I found also a thread where the driver BTDWM was mentioned. So I have installed this one but still no success. Evertime I was starting to capture, I started the WINTV application shortly and closed it down. I have seen this also as a good recommendation.
By the way my machine is a 700MHz AMD Duron with WIN 98SE. Any suggestions??

Thanks

Werner

Hi Werner,

I strongly suggest you upgrade to Windows XP. Either the home edition or the professional. You'll have the benefit of a stabler OS, and no (practical) file size limitations. I haven't had a problem with XP and my WinTV card, capturing with Vdub. If you do upgrade, remember to convert your file system to NTFS. If you don't, you'll have a stable OS, and a crappy FAT32 file system

Hi Kwag,

thanks for your info. Anyway I decided meanwhile to go for Win2K. I still have some hope that this will solve one of my problems, especially the limitation problem.
