ffmpeg and subs

Hi!! somebody know how to add subtitles in cvs ffmpeg?

What's your OS? MS Windows or on *nix?
What's your target? DVD or SVCD (KVCD or KDVD)?
Because in MS Windows and KDVD you can just encode with ffmpeg (or FWIW mencoder) and add the subs with your authoring tool just as with DVDAuthorGUI.
As for KVCD I really don't recall it anymore.
Care to take a look at the old mencoder part of the forum?
Anyway I really don't see much use for these tools under Windows because there are other tools much better and much more stable.
Cheers

My Os is gnu/linux (slackware).
My target it's mpeg4 and DVD (no external matrix's)

The sources it's fresh cvs daily version of ffmpeg, not transcoder or mencoder.

If target is MPEG4 I believe I (we?) can't do much to help since subs are usually based on a textfile that will be delivered in the CD.
The fact is, you're not talking about KVCD or KDVD...
