WOW, I cant believe what I read

First of all, the good thing:
(1)
Welcome to the forum
You should have READ the forum disclaimer, which is VERY clear before you clicked on the little PAYPAL button, and you should clearly see that this site is a "Warez Free" site.
The are NO MOVIES here, and this is an advanced video conversion site, so YOU CAN LEARN how to do your own backups of YOUR own material.

(2) Now the bad:

If your next post is like your first two, I'll erase you from existence, with a copy to PayPay with your behaviour, and they will kill your account from PayPal (I'll make sure they do )

Now, sit back, breath, read the forum disclaimer, and then post when you feel you are ready

Cheer UP

Hey Rui,

What did you do to this guy (kid?) Tell me, please tell me
I see his two other posts were targetted directly at you
Well, we won't see him around anymore, that's for sure
He probably picked his father's wallet and pulled out his MC card so he could come in here and ask about Warez
Some people just NEVER READ disclaimers

I think that guy was right have none of you heard of nero digital ?? if you really want to put loads of films on a cdr why not just use that. How long does it take to make a kvcd disk and how many pieces of crap software do you have to use ?? theres no advanced video conversion going on here as far as I can see. whats the point in converting to kvcd if it takes so long and very few DVD units can play it ???

1/ Your main error is in the "few DVD units". Actually almost all the DVD units can read KVCD, but for some of them you have to "limit" yourself on some settings to be read.

2/ Trust me or not, we are not doing KVCD any more but a lot of us are doing KDVD now. And we do that to put 2 movies on a disc when a "normal" DVD can barely hold 2 hours of video.

3/ Nero digital ? And you read this with what ? fewer units that KVCD for sure Of course, the MP4 AVC is the future, but it is not the present. And again, trust me or not, it is not because we are living in the present (ie doing KDVD) that we do not prepare the future (ie looking towards MP4). We do not live only on this board. But here, the toppic is MPEG2 and K(VC)DVD.

I know some of you are hung up on the fact that you can get 2 movies on 1 dvd with Kdvd but how long is this process taking you is it really worth the effort ? when dvd media is so cheap and I think guys like you like people to think what you are doing is difficult but both you and I know it's not difficult at all. I think you hate the fact that anyone with a computer and the right software (not the freeware crap you guys go on about) can easily backup movies weather they be dvd divx or mp4. by the way I bought a dvd player for 50 bucks and it plays nero digital whats more it came with a free nero digital software CD... RIP KDVD........

It takes 3hours per movie (and my PC is slow) and yes, it worth the time else I don't see why we would continue to proceed so.

It's not only a matter of price. We can discuss also about 1 movie DVD if you want. Too often shrinking a movie to a DVD5 lead to crap comparing to the same movie converted into a KDVD. It takes only 30 minutes, of course, but for a result that can be barely watched.

Who says that ? As you tell, we know it is not, so why should we tell it is ?
I don't see anyone telling it is difficult. Don't mistaken "advanced video editing" for "hard to perform". A lot of things can be advanced and easy. Walking on your two legs is a lot advanced and complex thing that you are doing everyday.

I don't think CCE is free. And I don't see anyone telling that you must use freeware to do KVCD. But when there si the choice between something commercial and free, we promote the freeware. Do you have a problem with that ? Oh, and note that free does not mean crap. You are using free software also, don't you ?
Xvid is free, Dvdshrink is free, DVDDecrypter is freen, x264 is free... should I continue ?

well I don't know what way you back up DVD's that leads to a poor quality copy. Maybe if you knew what you were doing you would see that making a good quality backup is easy and takes very little time. 3 Hours to make a kDVD !!! and you wonder why I think the format sucks..
all of the dvd copy software you mentioned is crap and outdated. So its clear to me that you have no idea what to use to make a proper back up. You can fit a movie like LOTR on one disk and keep the menus etc without any loss and that movie is 3 hour long. You tell me there is less quality loss trying to compress 2 movies into 5GB of space please tell me you don't really believe that !! do you believe in the easter bunny as well ?. When someone questions how good Kdvd/kvcd you look to get rid of them off the forum... 15 hours of processing time to have 5 KDVD's wow thats 10 movies lucky you don't watch them all at once

Don't talk to me as if I don't know anything about the toppic please.
Easy and quick software (to be clear, transcoders like DvDShrink) give awfull results under 70%. Of course a lot of people don't find this awfull but they are not clever than me, they just have eyes that are not as trained as mine. And I whish to have the same, but I'm not.

For you quick is good ? Then just buy two pieces of each DVD. Nothing faster, nothing better.

Where did I tell the opposite ? Are you sure you are reading me completly ?

Sorry to disappoint you but one movie with DVDShrink on a DVD5 is often a lot worst thatn 2 movies on a KDVD. It's not a matter of thinking, it's a matter of having the eyes to see that.

My conclusion is that you don't know how to do a decent KDVD because it's not so easy than you think it is, and then of course, MP4 is easier to reach the quality your eyes can bare.

Do you call people that came to tell "your site is shit, your format is crap, you are *******" someone that come to questions quality ? I don't.
A lot of peoples came to question about quality, some were convinced about what we said and stay, others just passed their way. Anyone is free.

That's funny how pity you were one year ago and how arrogant you are now. Should I remind you ?

BTW, that'll be my last word. You don't like KDVD anymore ? See ya...

I think I need to do a little forum maintenance, specially because of some noobs who prefer simple techniques
Like "password", who just lost his forum priviledges
I think some are missing the whole point of advanced techniques, and doing things a way that in the end, gives us more pleasure and results that are second to none

I totally agree. They are completely missing the point.

This behaviour of tele_vee and password kinda reminds me of some of that guys at vcd***.com, who were looking to provoke things over here by saying kvcd/kdvd is sh**t.

These guys are really pathetic IMO.

You know, I've had to ask a lot of dumb questions in the past, but Karl, Phil, Boulder, Incredible, etc. have always taken the time to give real advice and lead me though problems.

I really enjoy playing about with video and testing techniques for improving size and quality. This is the only site I know of that has members with such a high level of expertise and the willingness to share their skills with others. The dedication and efforts of many people here continue to make my hobby challenging and enjoyable.

It is obvious that some messages are posted simply to be abusive or to seek attention. These posters should not be welcome to this forum and I appreciate the actions being taken to drop them.

I agree with every single word.

Personaly I cant see why people climb mountains or play golf, does that mean I should join a mountain climbers or golf forum and slag them all off for what they enjoy doing....Of course not.

The first idiot only joined because he thought there were stacks of ready to burn KVCD KDVD films to download from the site,if there had been he would have glady have downloaded and watched them, woudnt have been crap then hey.

What was that ?
Trolls attack ?
People from doom9 or vcdhelp ?

This is obvious, anyway.
Theses people are pissed off because they can't do kvcd/kdvd, they're not able to do that, that's why they talk about "loss of time".
Not clever enough, not patient at all, it's too much tricky for them...
