KDVD: CCE 2.70 Trial download?

Hi to all,

I just got CCE 2.70 fo evaluation on a download as i was considering buying it if it was productive in producing KVCD / KDVD's although i must profess to not knowing anything about setting up this decoder for this purpose. I have found the settings area after loading a script i was using in HC Encoder for KDVD's. I noticed similar settings in CCE to that in the HC Enc setup such as min / max bitrate , zigzag , aspect ratio , DC settings etc. I have loaded an old KDVD 2.67 registry entry to provide settings within the program for KDVD templates. i intend encoding my source as 720x576 Pal 16:9 ratio. Can someone please just run through the optimum settings for KDVD in this encoder with me as i am not sure. Secondly i got the settings i have now after a manual input into Calcumatic for the script as i want to place 3 KDVD''s on one 4.7GB DVDR. I have a file size which with AC3 audio at 384Kbps looks about right to me for fitting the disc purposes.

Lastly what sort of CQ prediction would i have to do for CCE and where would i input these settings? I using a frame server source of DGIndex for the script purposes.

Any Help would be appreciated please. :)

Many Thanks.
Blubear.

Hi
Re my last post can anyone point me to a guide to set up CCE for the correct encoding settings and can CCE be used as a standalone' so to speak encoder for KDVD or does it have to be used with other programs like DVD2SVCD or DVD Rebuilder etc?

Again can someone tell me how to do CQ or X' predictions within CCE for getting movies correctly on a DVD-R or CD?

Can you use CCE to produce three DVD's to 1 DVD-R such as other encoders like TMPGEnc or HC ENcoder etc.

Any replied received gladly :)

I believe you're looking for DVD-Rebuilder.
I have never used such tool but I've read many times here at the forum that it can work wonders coupled with CCE.
It is a "one-click" tool and I believe it works with CQ encodes.
Cheers
