Subtitle Not Properly Display
This is my first time post and hope can understand my English.

If I convert to KVD using 720 X 480 or 704 X 480 with font size 22 Verdana the subtitle show perfectly but if I convert using 352 X 480 or 352 X 240 with font 22 or event smaller to font 16 Verdana the subtitle cannot display properly. The justification of the substitle look funny and cannot read.

Post your script.
I'm guessing you have the subs line in the wrong position ;)

Or explain what tools you are using because I'm not sure we are talking about some subtitles hard coded into the image, but more likely selectable subtitles.

This is quite big, 22, for such a low resolution.
I use Arial (which is smaller than Verdana) 11 for 480*480.
12 could do it, but no more.
note : if you use Subresync, you change the place on the screen by changing margin (top, bottom) and "screen alignement".

Actually, if these are DVD selectable subtitles, the resolution of the picture is not taken into account. Subtitles are always rendered after the picture has been upscaled to 720*576(480).

I use Verdana 18 for all my KDVD whatever the resolution of my material (VCD, 1/2DVD, SVCD, KVCD, DVD...).

I'm sorry guys forgot to tell you all. I'm using Diko. Maybe here not the right place to post. Sorry again. But if got any comments very appreciate.

Thanks and sorry.

Not the correct place as you mentioned. For Diko problems it's better to go to Diko forum.

Okay, I just had the problem and this has nothing to do with Diko.

The problem is with players like vlc or media player classic that can't handle correctly the subtitles and non full D1 resolution : thery are displayed too big and completly cropped on the right.

But everything is fine on the standalone or on a "real" software DVDplayer like winDVD.
