Muxing only a few minutes of video?

Is there a tool that I can use to mux together say 5-10 minutes of video and Audio ?

Its currently taking a while to mux together over 1Gig over video and 160Mb of audio to find that my audio is out-of-sync. I've learned that what I see and hear on the laptop isn't what I see and hear on my Standalone.

TIA

Use BBMpeg, and select "start second/end second" under General Settings.

Hey Kwag,

Thanks for the reply but when I attempt to open up the audio (.mp2) in bbMpeg I get the IdirectStream error message mentioned in the BBMpeg forum.

Audio gets converted like this -> VDub rename to .mp3 -> beSweet to uncompressed .wav and then -> Headac3he into a .mp2

Any ideas on this error message ?

Check VDub "File --> File Information --> Audio Stream-->Compression".
If *Unknown then it might be .ac3 or .ogg. Rename audio.wav to
audio.ac3 and use Headac3he. :)

Hey Black Prince,

This is what I do now, since you've shown me the light. 8) The properties of the file is MPEG Layer-3 audio.

So renamed it from Vdub to a .mp3. Besweet converted to uncompressed .wav and then Headac3he it to a .mp2

Still cant open it up in bbmpeg though

Hi jmjarvis,

You might have a bad audio stream. Try to play the .wav file extracted
from BeSweet with wmp. If it plays ok then try to use Tmpgenc to
multiplex video and audio. :)

Hey Black Prince,

Yes it plays but this doesn't help me.

My original question was what can I use to mux only a few minutes of audio/video.

I don't want to use TMPGEnc because I have to mux a huge video and audio together fully. Then I have to cut 10 minutes off and burn to VCD. Then I find that its not in sync so then I delete the huge muxed audio/video file followed by the 10minute file and start again.

It may look in sync on the laptop but its different when it gets played on the standalone. 8O

Just want to save me lots of time thats all.
