TMPGEnc: Wbp womble vfapi

it keeps trying to use the wbp - womble thing in the vfapi screen in tmpogenc when I use cqmatic to process the videoand it crashs. Is there anyway of removing this function so tmpgenc can get on with the job?

I personnaly don't have any idea about what "womble" is. I snapshot perhaps ?

my mistake... my question should be how to remove .vpafi's from the enviromental settings? I think cqmatic is confused as to which encoder it should use. I have 2 encoders listed there at the moment, one is tmpgenc and the other is Womble Multimedia and the name of the plugin is WbpVFAPI.vfp. I need to get rid of that from the envormonment settings. simpluy unchecking it isn't good enough. cqmatic keeps looking for it, and as my files are not wpv files, the are tpr files it crashes.

CQMatic does not do anything special. It opens tmpgenc the same way as you open it. Let consider it's just a robot that is installed at your desk and move the mouse for you.

This sentence has really no meanings.
CQmatic opens tmgenc and then tmpgenc tries to read the file. What you are saying is that tmpgenc can't open a tpr file because of this "WbpVFAPI.vfp" even if you uncheck the box in the settings ? Can you try that by hand please, not with CQMatic please ?

If that's the case I see only one way: find the file WbpVFAPI.vfp on your disc and remove / move / rename it. It should not appear into tmpgeng settings anymore.
(or try to unistall / resinstall tmpgenc because I think that the vfp files are referenced in the registry database of windows. But you can also look itto it and remove manually the key in the registry. Be carefull if you do that).
Other idea : change the priority of wombler to -5 and the one for tpr to +3 for instance.
