KVCD: Fit 120-Minute Video on 80-Minute CD-R ?

it seems every time i try to encode a video with the templates i have download from this site they seem to come out bigger than if i were to encode them in th standard vcd format.

am i forgeting something or doing something woung?

that seems to help me understand the problem somewhat

but the predictoins that that tmpge give seem to right.

what i don't understan is how when u use the kvcdx3 templates u get 1min/5MB but when i use it i get 1min/19MB.

what am i doin wroung

Hi choppy,

19MB per minute is way too much

. Something is definitely wrong. What are you trying to encode? Are you using a .avs script to feed TMPEG?, or are you reading the .d2v directly?

I am encoding a music video to see the comparison to a standard vcd

i have no clue as to what those are

what i did was download the template and put it in the template foulder in tMPGenc, then i select it from the encode wissard and it tells me each 1 minute will be around 19MB

hey, i am having the same problem. when i load my avs into tmpgenc and then load the kvcdx3 template, it says 19 per minute what is that!!

You can't use TMPEG's wizard for CQ encoding modes. Please read here for information on file size prediction: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1294

Also read about FitCD and AviSynth.

WOAH now i am completely lost.

I did not know there were other steps involed to make a kvcd.

all i am trying to do is take a 2 disc vcd movie and encode it into the kvcd format so i can have more time on the disc to fit it on one cd rather than 2
