FFMPEG: News from Libavcodec for MPEG2
 

I make new test with Libavcodec (with mencoder frontend but you can use ffmpeg/ffvfw/ffshow too).

- New vbv correction: Libavcodec make always vbv compliant stream now with all setting.
- New Quality improuvement: Libavcodec outperform all the other MPEG2 encoder (professional or not) in the metric test and by far.

You can make MP@ML or MP@HL stream if you use LevelPatcher, ReStream and dgpulldown. You can make HDDVD/BD compliant stream if you want too.

And how's the good old bitrate spiking these days on libavcodec?

And don't come telling that libav has always the best, compliant streams ever made by mankind :wink:
