KVCD: Clip frame in TMPGenc?

Hi, i need some help on clip frame cos i just carnt seem to get this right and have a great result.

i set my clip frame centre (custom) to 350x180 and its looks very nice viewing it via clip frame but then once iv encoded apart of the movie and check my results i get a ugly picture.

instead of it being centred and widescreen i get a big block in centre and its from top to bottom and my settings for width dont work. i carnt seem to get it to widen.

its pal formate, iv used many diffrent templates and i get same results.

im using tempenc ..

i did want to show you a snap shot but the images came out to dark

Never use the resize internal to tmgpenc, and moreover the clip frame settings. Use avisynth for that and Paranoia to get the correct resize settings.

Few things to learn, but a huge gain in the end.

Paranoia is a simple binairy. No need to install, just run it. And the way to use it is explained there :

But did you install avisynth first ?

You are probably using the windows internal MPEG codec and that's correct, it's crap.

i think i must be. can you recommend a decent one? il still have a look around :P

You can use ffdshow to decode a lot of formats, including MPEG1. Possibly not the best thing it can do, but that enought to look at a video on the screen before to burn it.

im using TMPGEnc to encode my movie then i use Xilisoft to get my mp2 then i use TMPGEnc to multiplex mp2 and video and lastly i use vcdeasy to create my bin an cue.

the movie looks very good on TMPGEnc(you can priview it while encodes)

You are processing correctly. And "of course" it is good : that's the goal :-D
