1. I have in the past loaded your Templates in to TMPGEnc with some
problems but got them in. The new one is giving me the same problem.
I downloaded and installed, but it looks like a WORD file, not like the others. And of course TMPGEnc can't see it. I've tried renaming--no good.
What is the trick??

2. Aspect Ratios? I have used your next to last Template on a movie with
1.85:1 ratio, .d2v says that it is a 16:9, looking at finished movie it is
way stretched. I did the same movie with same Template made some
changes (without noting them...sham on me). The movie had the proper
Aspect Ratio, but was 1.3 gig in length........help!!!!!

3. I will note ALL changes from now on!!!

Thanks for a Great site......JoJo

Hey thanks JoJo!

If you are reading a .d2v file, and the movie is 16:9, change the input aspect in TMPEG Video arrange method to Center(Custom size) 352x352.
This applies if you are using the NTSC 352x480 template.

As for the template, I just re-downloaded the one in the site and "Save as.." and loaded in TMPEG without a problem. Strange

@JoJo

Are you sure the template file still has an .mcf extension? It sounds like that may be your problem.

@Kwag

Would you use the 352x352 values regardless of whether the movie was filmed at 1.85:1 or 2.4:1? (or is it 2.35:1?, I forget)

I always use the values that FitCD gives me. But then all the movies I've encoded are 16:9 or 4:3 TV captures.

And because I use an AviSynth script all the time, the correct aspect is fed into TMPEG.

If you are reading a .d2v file directly, and your movie is 16:9 ( 720x480 ), you must use 352x352 in order to get the correct output.

Of course, this only applies if you are outputting 352x480, as it is in the template.

It's really a mess, isnt' it!
