can i still encode my movie that i ripped with the wav file, or will it be out of sync, becasue everyone says to encode it to mp2 with headac3he , but i can't get that to work with my system(xp pro)???

Did you download the correct Headac3he DLL's for your CPU

That's weird edmund! I also use XP Pro on a Pentium 4 and I've never had a problem with Headac3he.

I've the same problem.
Have you look at the Windows event viewer ?
The problem for me is when Headac3he initializing the vorbis engine (vorbis.dll). So I renamed vorbis.dll in vorbis.dll.old and it worked (vorbis isn't charged). Of course you will not be able to encode with this engine but it doesn't matter if you only want to make .mp2...

PS : if i want to encode in mpeg2 480x576, should i use kvcdx3 or skvcd template and change the resolution ?

I would go for kvcdx3... I think that with KVCD Matrix, CQ_VBR is better than pure CQ.
