Modification of the .ini files for LBR and PLUS templates
Kwag:
According to your post in another thread for the new settings of the LBR and PLUS templates, i change the following in DVD2SVCD 1.1 b1: KVCD_LBR.ini - GOP:1,18,2,1,18 - Bitrate min=300, max=1800 KVCD_PLUS.ini - GOP:1,15,2,1,15 - Use 2CD in all fields, Questions: a)In PLUS ini i have to leave bitrate settings as before(min=128, max=2300)? b) "...you're going to have to use FitCD and copy your .avs just before the video encoding starts. This is easy. Just select "Edit avs as part of video encoding" on the Frameserver tab of DVD2SVCD...." May i Edit the .avs as above? Does this "overite" the internal prediction calculations? (As i told u i left the prediction factor to 0.95 and the 2nd image was too short) Thank you for your patience... :) |
Hi VILLA21,
Leave "1 CD" in all fields, unless you want your movie on 2. For bit rate, set MIN=300, MAX=1,800, Min. avg unchecked and Max. avg 0. Those are the new values for the LBR, so set DVD2SVCD the same, if you want your target LBR. Leave the prediction factor set to .95 as it has given me the most accurate result. You can edit the .avs any way you want. Internally, DVD2SVCD will still use the file prediction, no matter what you do at the .avs level. -kwag |
It"s clear for LBR settings, what about the PLUS one?
I made an .ini file named KVCD_PLUS_2CD for long movies eg >180mins and make 2 CDs. The settings are: GOP: 1,15,1,2,15 Bitrate: min=128 max=2300 ( or min=300 max=1800 ?? ) Nr of CDs: 2 Pred.Factor=0.95 KVCD Q MAtrix Are these ok for 2 CDs and more than 180min movies? |

That will give you ~240 minutes on 2 CD's with higher quality than a VCD if you use the file prediction formula and add the "Blockbuster" filter ;) ( or ~360 minutes reduced quality on 2 CD's ) -kwag |
Thanks Kwag!
Just downloaded the update DVD2SVCD 1.1b1a and i"m going to encode the "Godfather I" (PAL) again, ~180 min. So far my new settings for KVCD_LBR are: GOP: 1,15,2,1,15 BitRate: 300-1800, CDs: 2 Pred.Factor=0.95 Shall i put Blockbuster filter before Resize as usual? |
