I have an Apex 1100w and I tried the kvcd x2 template.
In 23.976 I got small pause/breaks every 10 secs or so. I switched the setting to 29.97 and made a small test burn. The quality was really awsome. The best I ever have made, so I went ahead and burned the whole movie on 2 CD's.
But...... the audio lost the sync more and more as the movie went on.

Please note that I am a newbie. Do I need to make other changes besides the 23.976 to 29.97?
I am using TMPGEnc with the downloaded AVI as the video file and a wav file created from "save as wav" from virtualdub.

Why does this happen and how do I fix it?

Regards
Mike

Hi Mike,

Remux your audio and video with BBMpeg. Use this screenshot as a sample:

BBmpeg crashes when I try to load the video file. Are there any other software I can use for this?

Regards
Mike

It crashes because of a known bug. When you run BBMpeg, click on "Add" and then "Cancel". Then you can go to "Start Encoding" an do your stuff

It still crashes as soon as I try to load the file.
Any other way to make the audio fit the video?

Regards
Mike

Are you using Windows XP ? I had the same problem, and I downloaded a WinXP Bugfix for exactly that problem... I think I found it at www.doom9.org ... not quite sure though...

Hey mike,
For a good back-up of movies (not high qual, but very watchable) to play on your 1100w
you have to try usin` the 352x240 lbr templet.
You have to render as a svcd mpeg2 of course, and use the 29.97,
but you`ll be surprised how well it`ll look, and your file size.
I did "The Matrix", the complete movie (less beggining and end credits) a couple days ago,
and still had room on 1 80min cdr for complete clips of
the DvD intro, the lobby gunfight scene, AND about 10 jpegs stills
along with it!...

Plays GREAT in my 1100w (1meg) and is very watchable on our
37" Mitstubishi tv.
I was SHOCKED!...

I`m now trying to use a combination of SansGrip`s great filters to try to soften block-noise,
and tighten (sharpen?) the vids.

but they still can`t put a tin pan in a microwave.......UNKNOWN

Ok I got a way around my problem so I don't need BBmpg at all.
In TMPGEnc I click option/environmental settings/VFAPI plugin and right click on Directshow multimedia file reader and change the priority to 1. I found this in another forum.

This way I can load the same AVI file for both video and sound. If I did that before I changed the setting, the mpg file came out without audio. That was why I had to use a seperate wav file before.

Thaks for the help anyway guys.

Regards
Mike
