I've got an (NTSC) .avi file of the movie "Halloween Resurrection" (1 hour 28 minutes). I tried to compress it with DVD2SVCD using the lbr .ini file from your forum (I changed The Minimum Bitrate to 500 kbit/s and the maximum to 5000 kbits/sec) on one 800 MB CD (800MB ISO->900MB MPEG).
I know that the Max Bitrate is way too high, but DVD2SVCD still want's to have a higher CQ Value than 100!!!

Look at the log (I canceled it when it went (again) too high with the CQ Value:

- Encoding Test Clip M:\Encode\AviSynth_Script_file_CQ_TEST.avs
Executing TMPGEnc. Commandline:
"C:\Programme\TMPGEnc\TMPGEnc.exe" "M:\Encode\TMPGEnc_Project_file.tpr" /Encode /Close
Video Encoding finished.

Hi Razorblade2000,

You're throwing off the Q curve with too far apart distances ( MIN, MAX ) bit rates.
Lower the MAX bit rate to around 2,000-2,500.

but still, shoudn't the predictor stop at 100 and give up? Or mabye it can start raising the minimum if 100 is hit without exceppding the prediction size?

I think this is a bug in DVD2SVCD because TMPEG doesn't encode values above 100. So DVD2SVCD should just stop at 100 and start encoding, but it just goes bezerk
