KVCD: Pulldown trick?
HI
My player cannot play any of the MPEG-1 KVCD templates with 480 lines. I have capured a movie from TV and encoded it in 352x480 plus (this was before I bought the player). The image is OK but the audio has dropouts.\ Since I don't have the original source available (and so I can't reencode it), I tried to "fix" the movie. This is the procedure that worked (for me): 1) First, I extracted the .dat file from the cd as a .mpg 2) Used TMPGEnc to demux video and audio streams. 3) Run the .m1v through pulldown.exe to enable 2:3 pulldown (yes, I know I should not do this with a mpeg-1 stream :) ) 4) Remuxed as SVCD with BBMpeg, forced mux rate =0, Pulldown 2:3 (not auto). 5) Burned with VCDEasy as SVCD. So, with this pulldown trick I can use MPEG-1 FILM with 480 lines at last! |
It didn't work for me... :(
