What are these programs i hear about that make divx movies sharper and get rid of blockiness?????

i am still confused on how i implement these scripts while i am encoding

nm i got it...would i recomend me using the 704x480
KVCDx2 2-CD template or another smaller one (resolution)? i am trying to encode a divx movie to play on a standalone player.

Use the PLUS templates. Don't use the original KVCD templates ( the ones at the top in the download page ). These will be removed eventually. The PLUS are superior.

i just cant figure out how to use avisynth... none of the guides mention it, and the homepage is really confusing..

someone please enlighten me!
