TMPGEnc Error: Index of Scan Line is Out of Range (416)

i have posted this somewhere else but no one replied so im posting here can someone plz help me i get an error in tmpgenc saying index of scan line is out of range (416)

divx file that i have decompressed the audio of in pcm. the file is 1.48 gig i have tried many times and the error doesnt occur at one give place so far its occured at 42% 46% and 56%

Yes. But it the problem is not consistent, meaning that the error is exactly in the same place, then I don't know what could be causing it!.

I have gotten this error with files that i have downloaded off the net at places like kazaa, I think it has to do with corrupted sectors in the file or the files header, what I would suggest is to either try to make a copy of the file with something like virtuadub, or frame serve it to tmpgenc through the vfapi converter......

I've encountered audio-encoding problems myself, especially with VBR MP3 audio (from AVI sources).
If everything else fails, just extract the audio stream (e.g. with VirtualDub), convert it to MP2 and multiplex it with the video stream using TMPGenc tool.
I found that I could convert most sound formats to MP2 using BeSweet (whew. lotsa setting there...).
MVP works fine up to 192kb MP2 and is as simple as it gets. (latest and last version is 1.2 I believe)

As for gradual synch problems I've not yet found a way around using an audio editor and streching/pitching the whole audio stream (CoolEdit or Sonic Sound Forge for example).

I am having similar problems with the 2.55.38.142 version. I even bought a registered copy to see if it gets fixed and nothing improved. I get a different error depending on which VFAPI reader I use, and it happens randomly. I went back to the 2.54.37.135 version and everything seems to be fine. Hope this helps you...

this isnt exactly a tmpgenc error but i dont know why it is happening my encoding time has gone up for all movies to 40hours i dont know y. im doing everything the same i have tried to delte then re-install tmpgenc but i still get the samne prob i thought it was my ram but now im constantly runnung a ram cleaner and still it remains the same any ideas

If your encodeing time takes that long it could be because you don"t have the cpu optimizations checked, go to "options" to "enviromental settings" to "cpu" and make sure that MMX is checked(if you have a pentium or celeron)and SSE is checked, this will make encodeing 3 times as fast with better quality than when they are not checked....
