when the movie is encoded its about 656 mb. video only. when i go to multiplex the audio in bbmpeg if i don't check vbr then the file size will be .99 gb but when i do click vbr the size of the movie adds with the audio file give me a 700+mb file. why does this happen and is multiplexing the movie with vbr on going to affect anything and should i also check pad vcd audio.please get back to me asap.thanks.

You definitely want to leave VBR checked. As far as pad audio goes, I usually check it.

For more information on the right bbMPEG settings to use, look in the bbMPEG forum. kwag has several times posted a screenshot there of the settings window as it should look for correct multiplexing.

You only need to change the min bitrate if you know that the default is too low for your player to handle. If you have no problems playing the discs on your standalone then you don't need to change the bitrates.
