Hi bigbob2:

I made the changes to all templates. The ones posted in the main page have been updated.

Thanks,

Kwag;

Upon closer inspection, I found that the changes are still there, and I can still see them quite easily. So I went ahead and change the value from 48 to 24 and voila! It came out perfect, can't see them with my own picky eyes anymore. But the downside is that the file gets a bit bigger, not sure if it'll fit in 1 cd anymore. Well I guess I can always use the 2 cd template.

UPDATE
At 24 the changes in brightness are gone, but there's a new problem. There appears to have massive blocks during some scene changes. Will test to see if there's a number between 24 & 48 that'll work.

After a lot of telking and aping I am now finally going to put the kvcd q. matrix into cce and try my min/max bitrates. I will tell you thr results.

Te reason for me having a change of heart is because tmpegc is just way too slow for me.

Hi bigbob2:
What you are seeing about every 2 seconds, is when a new I frame is inserted. You can see this perfectly in WinDVD, but on a standalone player, that's barely visible. There's no way around it!. If we lower the GOP, the file size will increase, and the 120 minute mark for a CD will be gone.

Kwag,
Do these changes apply to KDVD? In KDVD MAX number of frames in GOP is set to 18. Just wondering if we should update our KDVD templates

Hi Bigswaffo:

No they don't. For DVD's, it's already a fixed number ( 15 PAL, 18 NTSC ).
