KVCD: lot of VERY dark scenes?

I'm trying to make a kvcd with the movie The Fog. It has alot of VERY dark scenes(if you've seen it, you know what i mean). I'm trying to use a resolution of 528x480. Any suggestion on how to make it look as good as possible? I thought about the kvcdx3 template but it won't fit on one cd

Hi Paul0889,

If it's a dark movie, it should fit perfectly on one CD with the x3 and file prediction. Check the file prediction threads here: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=27 specially the "sticky" at the top

Well the movie is very, very dark more than half of the time. But, it's about 87 minutes long. I thought the kvcdx3 only would fit 60 minutes widescreen onto one disc.

No way
That was the old way. I've put "Red Planet" and "K-19" ( 2 hours, 18 minutes ) on one CD-R :D
Use the file prediction and the new GOP 1-12-2-1-24.
Look here and download the sample to see what K-19 will look on one CD-R with the x3 template: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....=asc&start=195 sample here: http://www.kvcd.net/test-kvcd-new-matrix.m1v
Rename to .mpg and view with WinDVD or PowerDVD so you get the correct aspect.
