lbr failure

i used the 352x240 lbr template that fits 180 min. on one cd. that means its supposed to fit 3 hours on one disc. i tried star wars episode 2 with the default settings and the audio at 112 ( i don't remember what the default is). i ended up with a great file for the resolution. but it was 900 mb. what am i doing wrong?

p.s. happy new year to all.

Hi conquest10,

Happy New Year!
Use file prediction. Go here: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=27
Start by reading the "Sticky" there.

ok. i went through all the calculations. according to it, my sample should be 11 mb. now if i calculate that, won't the file be over 900 mb since sw: ep 2 is 145 minutes long?

hey kwag

i've also noticed that all my movies, no matter how long, always give me an answer of 11 or 11.2, 11.4, etc. is that normal?

You have to adjust the CQ value so it targets the new size. If your sample was above the prediction size, you have to lower the CQ value and run another sample test until you reach ~1% of your predicted sample size.
