software for Editing SVCDs?

Hello, hello fine folks at KVCD.

Quick question, I have been using your templates, and since I own an apex 1500 after getting my mp2 and mv1 I use avi2mpeg to mux them as an SVCD.

Occasionally I'll run into a movie that runs just a tad over what I can burn. The easiest way to take care of the problem would be to edit out the end credits.

Problem is tmpg-enc doesn't want to allow me to edit my SVCDs. (it gives me a floating point divided by zero error).

I've also tried M2-edit, but my output file actually increases in size after trimming! Usually it goes from somthing like the original 812 megs to close to a gig!

Any other ideas?

Thanks much.
Jeremy

Hi jezztek,

If you still have your .mp2 and .m1v, use bbMPEG --> Settings-->
General Settings tab. Look near the bottom where you can set
start frame, end frames and cd size. Start with frame 1 and end with
frame count just before credits. Put in your CD size and run :)

Well, it is bbMPEG --> Start Encoding --> Settings--> General Settings tab
And you can specify the Start second, End second or Max size.
 Slow down with the beer, blackprince!

Silly me, dunno why I didn't think of that...

I was planning on going through the mux as vcd, edit in tmpg-enc, de-mux, then remux as SVCD.

Your way, is certainly much easier.

=)

Thanks both.
