You need to disable the DirectShow filter in Evironmental Settings to get it to load .avs files I think.

Hi Kwag

I've got TMPGenc loading the ReadAVS dll properly. Even made sure that I have msvcr70.dll loaded into my system.

But I still get ...

Unrecognized Exception
(D:\Films\Movie\Film.avs, Line 2)

Any ideas ??

Thanks

Send a message via MSN to Bud
If your 2nd line looks like it does in the above screen, it appears you left off the " at the start of the D:/******. That may be your problem, beleave me with all the cuttin' and pastin' we do with the scripts leaving something off is very easy to do.

Aloha
Bud

Sorry Bud, but the script was generated by FitCD and did have the quotes where they were supposed to be.

Anyway, here's the script that it's crapping on ...

-----------------------------------------------
LoadPlugin("C:\MediaTools\Mpeg2Dec\MPEG2DEC.dll")
mpeg2source("D:\Process\BHD\Source\Bhd.d2v")
BilinearResize(720,480,0,0,720,480)
#TemporalSmoother(2,2)
AddBorders(0,0,0,0)
#Trim(0,207732).FadeOut(150)
#ResampleAudio(44100) # CCE 2.5 'crashfix' for Athlons
#== If you want this 'fix' permanently, edit the INI-file:
#== Under [AVSscript] set the CCEcrashfix-option to
#== CCEcrashfix=1
-----------------------------------------------

If you or Kwag or anyone else can help, puh-lease do .....

Thanks again

I'm not sure why anything would choke on this script, because this script isn't doing anything! If you really aren't doing any resize, and have no need for temporal smoothing, you should just process the .avi directly and bypass AVISynth altogether...

Hi Daagar,

The reason for using AviSynth in this instance is to do a proper 16x9 encode as I am having difficulty getting TMPGenc to get the aspect ratios correct when the source is 16x9. It don't want to set the outputting ratio to 4x3 and have to encode the "black bars".

Thanks
