I've been comparing my KVCD's, and I noticed that none of them came out quite as good as 'Spy Game' did. I think I encoded that sometime in the middle of November with the x2 template. I remember it used CQ 60/70 as the default (a little hazy on this). Is there any way to access and download older versions of your templates, Kwag? It was 2 cd's, granted, but the quality was PERFECT. I can only imagine what faerydust and C3d would do to it

I know what template you mean - it was the max 50 GOP. I encoded SW: EPISODE II on 2 CDs with this template - very good quality! I think it was 1-24-3-1-50 or something like that...

new_bee, you wouldn't happen to still have that template on your hard drive, would you? If you do, could you arrange to E-mail me a copy?? Or maybe post it on the board?

Hi Reno,

Just change the last number on the GOP to 48 (NTSC) or 50 (PAL). That's basically it. That would be the one that's set to 24 now.

Thanks, Kwag!

I was thinking, how many times do you think the words 'thanks Kwag' appear on this forum? LOL

P.S. what should my G.O.P. numbers be set to? they currently are (top to bottom) 1, 5823, 2, 1 and 48. Am I looking at the right area for this? I've never, ever messed with the G.O.P. before...
