TMPGEnc: Problem loading .avs files
When i try and load my script into tmpg to do file prediction it says the file can not be open or is unsupported. I read up on what to do if this happens and nothing has solved this problem yet. I am using tmpgenc plus 2.58 and fitcd 1.0.5...help plz

@Vitia,
Could dvd2avi be the problem :roll: Are you using version1.76. If not, change to this version and try again. :) -black prince |
the settings are exactly the same...ive done everythin there is to do...that i found in the forum...and its not dvd2avi cuz i used the same version to back up other dvds
|
Have you installed DirectX 8.1 and the huffyuv codec? Try reinstalling those if you haven't or aren't sure.

yea i can open other scripts but for some reason i can not open the one i want to for this specific movie
|
Try this: delete all the scripts in your plugin directory.
I was having the same problems when I installed the dustv5 version ( come with a dustv5.avs ). My TMPGenc only worked when I deleted the .avs files in plugin directory. Hope this can help you. |

This also caught me out the first time I used dust certain worth trying. |
AviSynth does not work with DVD2AVI 1.77, it does work with 1.76.
TMPGEnc 2.510 cannot read .d2vs created with DVD2AVI 1.76 you must use 1.77. So depending on whatever you are going to do you will probably need to have both versions on your PC. |

TMPGEnc 2.510 reads .d2v's created with DVD2AVI 1.76 just fine via an Avisynth script (using Avisynth 2.07). So there doesn't seem to be any need for having both versions of DVD2AVI on your PC. Unless of course you were solely referring to a problem with TMPGEnc 2.510's ability to directly open .d2v files (but I've never tried that, so I couldn't say...regardless, most people here are frameserving via Avisynth and using DVD2AVI 1.76 since it's the recommended "kvcd way"). Just didn't want any noobs who read this to misunderstand. :) (follow Black Prince's golden guides!). -d&c |
Yes. That is what I meant. TMPGEnc 2.510 cannot directly read .d2v's created with 1.76, only 1.77. Avisynth cannot read .d2v's created with 1.77. Sometimes I like to create Divx files in TMPGEnc without Avisynth scripts. This is why I need both on my system.
