I'm having a problem muxing the Headac3he created mp2 file to my .m1v file. I seems the audio drifts out of sync after a while. However, when I let DVD2SVCD do it all the audio stays in sync. I think the problem is in letting DVD2AVI decode the ac3 file. Anyone know how DVD2SVCD decodes the ac3 file?

By the way I've tried on every source for months and I can't manually mux (with bbmpeg) and get a correct sync'd audio.

Another funny thing is if I don't downmix to 44.1 khz and just leave it at 48 the audio will sync. I just don't get it.

Just on the standalone or in WinDVD/PowerDVD too?

With BeSweet (or HeadAC3he, if you use SweetHead).

That is weird. I've never ever had audio out of sync, from DVD or AVI or captures .

Sansgrip,
The audio drifts out under both windvd and the standalone.
DVDSVCD uses Besweet to extract the ac3 file? Do you also use Besweet or let DVD2AVI do it? What is strange is when I mux my manual m1v file with DVD2SVCD's created mp2 file the audio is perfect, but, when I extract audio with DVD2AVI and use Headac3he and then mux, ( all the same params) the audio drifts out. I've been messing with this for months trying to get the Prologic II sound. Any other suggestions?

Try "Mpeg Mediator". Extract the wav from the vob's and use
Headac3he to convert to .mp2

i don't have problems with dvd2svcd,but it's a good answer.
i ever think about it and change bsweet to sweethead in dvd2svcd prog.
sound's better.
when i see ac3 is extracted i don't understand how prog make it.
bsweet(or sweethead) is called after ac3 is decode.
dvd2avi only extract the "video" in this case, right?
the log file don't show about it.

the answer remains...

Like the extraction of subtitles, the extraction of the audio is done internally. Did you think that dvd2svcd was just a stupid frontend?

@Canman
Ah, someone who knows something. So it's internal to the program. Well, i"ll try to duplicate it's extraction with mpeg mediator and see if that solves my sync problem.

Thanks All,

hei boys ,if you have time, take a look at my "break head"in doom9
about bsweet:
sometimes the people there thinks they are "gods",but only send you
links that goes to other links..etc.
nobody, include DSPguru(BeSweet Author),gives a simple answer to you when you ask......then this is a little boring reading....go ahead.
ps:
i really sorry about some "no education" of me and others in doom9,
there are lots of helpfull people, but have tons of boring people too
(include me when someone treat me bad....i can't stand boring people)
and some of they aren't just the people here....here and in cdrsoft forum the people is helpfull and friendly.
i love(really)kvcd forum...sometimes i stay here all night long alone,
waiting for a friend to "change ideas".
well,i "talk" to much ...read:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...753#post245753

ps2:
dvd2svcd(the "person" is fantastic and other tons there too)
ps3:
including Sansgrip(of course),then don't needed to say about him,
we know Sansgrip..here and in doom9...very good friend and dinamic helpfull one.
ps4:
sorry for my "klinglish"
ps5:

@ Canman:

dear friend, i know you and i'm glad with you here.....
my respect and friendship with you!
i don't think that your program is just a stupid frontend.
this is what i think:
dvd2svcd is the very best program in the whole world to make svcds.
i test tons of programs and dvd2svcd is the number one.
i say this in doom9,cdrsoft and kvcd forum too.
i use dvd2svcd to make kvcds too.
you can see my opinion in all forum .....in all my username is jorel.
only do a search in this 3 forums and my opinion is the same in all.
when i do a question is for knowledge,cos i don't know about
programation.....i'm only a user that want to know "how it works".
in this 3 forums the people is fantastic, helpfull and friendly.
only in doom9 i have problems with a few member that think they are "gods".(one of this "gods" say to one member to get a new player if this player don't play svcd ..."and he's think he is wize")
you are one that ever help me in all questions.

i'm thankfull:
in doom9 forum:
dvd2svcd,mark,trbarry,mrbass and others that i can't remember their names now.....but are more there.
in cdrsoft:
chickenman (fantastic one),rastabt, laz, denexo, and others that i can't remember their names now.....but are more there too.
here in kvcd forum:
Kwag (friendship,wize,...person with clear mind and soul),
Sansgrip and muaddib(fantastics),rendalunit, black prince, and tons of
others that i can't remember their names now.....but are many more here too.
if i forgot someone...excuse me,is my memory and poor english.

excuse me,my intention was ask to know about.

ps:
now you can see that "i know (who are) you"
thanks.(very much again,like ever)
...and i know now that the extraction of the audio is done internally.
