You'll have to use file size prediction.

isn't there another way?? hate file prediction takes to long. What about the kvcd predictor can that help predict what cq level I can go upto?

Using the Predictor doesn't remove the time-consuming thing, which is encoding the sample

KVCDPredictor tells you that automatically. It suggests a starting value.

cheers kwag, only prob I have now is the sound, when I go to convert the ac3 in headac3he it says that the mp2 file is 201MB but in brackets next to the file size it has 4098mb how come??

kwag 01-28-2003 09:00 AM

That's because HeadAC3he creates a temporary file and processes that into .mp2. You can change that by selecting "Dumb" instead of "Float" under destination, but then it will take much longer to process.
