KVCD: Audio Skipping Problem?

I have a Pioneer DV-525 DVD player
when i convert a divx to a kvcd, the film play fine but the audio skips through out the whole movie.. anyone know how i can fix this???

Pioneer players are very picky
You can try using the KVCD templates but encode as MPEG-2 instead of MPEG-1.

i encode as mpeg-1 for testing...
the video runs smoothly just the audio skips

but when i convert as a vcd non-standard everything works but the quality degrade abit.. so should i just crank up the bitrate?
