KVCD: What's the most updated template?

Hi there,
I have gone through the forum of KVCD Templates and 120 mins on a CD-R, I saw many template update annocements, can I assume the tamplates in the main page of KVCD.net are the most updated ones??

If I change from 352x480 to 352x240 (also change CQ from 70 to 74), does it mean that I can select "Video CD" in TMpeg and I can check the "VCD compliance" when burning in Nero. If so, will it increase the competibility of this kvcd. Lastly, if this can be done, will ordinary VCD machine able to play it or it must to be a DVD player.

Hi syk2c11:

The templates posted at the main page are the latest.

If you change to 352x240, but you're still using the KVCD template, you have to burn as non-standard VCD. Because you are still creating an MPEG-1 VBR which is not VCD compliant.
As far as compatibility, there are some players that don't play 352x480 but do play 352x240.
And some that don't play 352x480 do play the new KVCDx2 704x480.
