I have a DivX movie with 640x272 resolution. I can't use KVCDx3 so should I use SKVCD PAL 352x576 I've heard from somewere,cant remember, that you should do something in the avs. script or in the TMPGEnc settings if the movie has a LOT of action "a high action movie"

I use this script,so should i add some filter or something if the movie is high action? (Or just change something )

LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Skrivbord\Tobias\Program\Blandat\Fit CD\MPEG2DEC.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Skrivbord\Tobias\Program\Blandat\Fit CD\GripFit_preview.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Skrivbord\Tobias\Program\Blandat\Fit CD\LegalClip.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Skrivbord\Tobias\Program\Blandat\Fit CD\Sampler.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Skrivbord\Tobias\Program\Blandat\Fit CD\DustV5.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Skrivbord\Tobias\Program\Blandat\Fit CD\TemporalCleanerOld.dll")

AviSource("C:\Documents and Settings\Lars\Skrivbord\Tobias\Die Hard")

LegalClip()
GripCrop( width=528, height=480, overscan=1 )
GripSize()
SpaceDust()
TemporalCleaner()
GripBorders()
LegalClip()
#Sampler(length=24)
## MPEG size = ((Total frames/MovieTimeInMinutes)/24) * MPEG sample file size ##

Hi Wolfi,

If you want to put it on one CD, then change the template to SKVCD or KVCD 352x480 PLUS and change this line to read: GripCrop( width=352, height=480, overscan=1 )

And if I choose SKVCD PAL 352x576 I suppose it will look like this:
GripCrop( width=352, height=576, overscan=1 ) or what do you say kwag? So if I want to set the movie on 2 cds,what should i do then?

btw. If I will set the movie on 2 cds,will it give me better quality

If your source is PAL, you use PAL templates. If your source is NTSC, you use NTSC templates. Don't mix them up

Of course it will . You're encoding with a higher CQ value.

And btw Kwag... I load my DivX file into Vdub, then File>File imformation.
Then it shows me the avi imformation. If this part look like this:

Frame size, fps 640x272, 23.976 fps

Should I use the SKVCD NTSCFilm 352x480 tample instead of the SKVCD PAL 352x576 tample?

Think so couse this, 23.976 fps, shows me that it is NTSC,am I right?
And does SKVCD NTSCFilm 352x480 tample give me the same quality as the SKVCD PAL 352x576 tample?

Aaand I have one last question...Is 640x304 resolution better then 640x272?

Many questions hope you can answer them all :P

If your source is 23,97 fps, then you must use the NTSC FILM template, otherwise you can have audio sync problems.

If your source is 25 fps , then you use the PAL templates.

Wolfi,

As far as how high you should set the CQ value, you need to look into file prediction. That is the only way you can really know how high you should set the value. Otherwise the file size will be too big or too small. It takes a little extra effort, but in the end it is worth it. There is an article at vcdhelp that shows how you can change the audio and video to 25 fps. Here is the link http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/140171.php
If you dvd player supports it just keep the framerate at 23.976 and keep the resolution pal.
