i just put my matrix dvd (130min) on one cd-r with help of the lbr-kvcd template and i nearly lost no quality.
ok, i took me 3 weeks to understand and test all those filters and programs for audio encoding and so on, but this was defenetly worth the time.
THX kwag and all the others for your patience and help

hi gonzo,
this is the script, i used with the lbr-kvcd PAL template

Code:
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\MPEG2DEC.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\legalclip.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\sampler.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\DustV5.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\GripFit_preview.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\Convolution3D.dll")

Mpeg2Source("E:\MATRIX\VIDEO_TS\matrix.d2v")
LegalClip()
GripCrop(720, 576, overscan=1)
GripSize()
SpaceDust()
Convolution3D(preset="movieLQ")
GripBorders()
LegalClip()
#Sampler(length=24)
## MPEG size = ((Total frames/MovieTimeInMinutes)/24) * MPEG sample file size ##

@Kane,

I really can't understand how you can put The Matrix on 1CD with 720x576 resolution. I made it in 2CDs with 528X480 resolution using the KVCDx3 NTSC mpeg1 template and 128k audio My script was very close of yours, only used faerydust() instead of spacedust() - I supposed gain more compression with it - and some minors differences. I think that I need some more information for the masters of KVCD.

oh, iīm sorry, i posted the wrong one, this was my attempt with the kvcdx2 template

this is the right one

Code:
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\MPEG2DEC.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\legalclip.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\sampler.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\DustV5.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\GripFit_preview.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\WINDOWS\system32\Convolution3D.dll")

Mpeg2Source("E:\MATRIX\VIDEO_TS\matrix.d2v")
LegalClip()
GripCrop(352, 288, overscan=1)
GripSize()
SpaceDust()
Convolution3D(preset="movieLQ")
GripBorders()
LegalClip()
#Sampler(length=24)
## MPEG size = ((Total frames/MovieTimeInMinutes)/24) * MPEG sample file size ##
i use spacedust instead of faerydust, because i donīt see a increase in quality with faerydust, but i takes tmpgenc longer to encode

You are right Itīs almost the double time But you get a lower file with faerydust than spacedust. I made The Count of Monte Cristo (131 min.) in 1 CD, with 528x480 resolution, but that was a darker movie (easier to crompress) than The Matrix and very low action.
Anyway thanks. Iīm allways using KVCx3 528X480 resolution tamplate and don't try KVCx2 or LBR yet. I think I'll give a try the next time.

well, my experience ist, that kvcdx3 is best , when the movie is max 90min, the kvcdx2, when movie is 90-120min, and the lbr-kvcd, when movie is more than 120min long, if you want to put it on one cd.
