MPEG2Cut from DarkAvengers
new MPEG2Cut from DarkAvengers (27. February 2003)
i only see it now! 8) read this: "An easy to use DVD2AVI based MPEG2 Cutter, now with sound output (MPAlib needed!) in play mode!" download here: http://mitglied.lycos.de/darkav/svcdguide/svcd.html  |
Using Mpeg2Cut causes Mpeg2 file to not be DVD COMPLIANT
Kwag or Members,
I want to cut out parts of a MPEG2 file. If I don't cut from the beginning of the file with MPEG2CUT, the file will not be DVD compliant. Is there a way to fix the header? I can't even demux the cut segment with TMPGenc or any other demuxer. I know that I could use TMPGenc or MPEG2VCR, but MPEG2CUT is easier to use and is free. Thanks |
hello Shaq
after cut the parts that you want, demux in tmpgenc using mpeg tolls(simple de-multiplex) and mux again with bbmpeg. the dvd compliance will be restored! |

I have been working on a new version of Mpeg2Cut, that specifically addresses this problem, with a new option: "Preamble - Maximum". Version 2 (Mpg2Cut2) can be downloaded from: http://www.geocities.com/rocketjet4/ The new version also has a number of new features, such as the ability to select more than one clip for inclusion in the output file. I don't have all the bugs out of the new version yet, but it should overcome your problem easily. There is further information on the new download page, and in a text document within the downloaded Zip file. RocketJet. |
