Using Mpeg2Cut causes Mpeg2 file to not be DVD COMPLIANT

Kwag or Members,

I want to cut out parts of a MPEG2 file. If I don't cut from the beginning of the file with MPEG2CUT, the file will not be DVD compliant. Is there a way to fix the header? I can't even demux the cut segment with TMPGenc or any other demuxer.

I know that I could use TMPGenc or MPEG2VCR, but MPEG2CUT is easier to use and is free.

Thanks

hello Shaq

after cut the parts that you want,
demux in tmpgenc using mpeg tolls(simple de-multiplex)
and mux again with bbmpeg.
the dvd compliance will be restored!

I have been working on a new version of Mpeg2Cut,
that specifically addresses this problem,
with a new option: "Preamble - Maximum".

Version 2 (Mpg2Cut2) can be downloaded from:

http://www.geocities.com/rocketjet4/

The new version also has a number of new features,
such as the ability to select more than one clip
for inclusion in the output file.

I don't have all the bugs out of the new version yet,
but it should overcome your problem easily.

There is further information on the new download page,
and in a text document within the downloaded Zip file.

RocketJet.
