I'm having a hard time trying to get any of these bloody things to play......

The only 1cd I've been able to get to play is Hansel and Gretel and an mpeg of scooby doo ripped by fastchef (that I'm guessing isn't KVCD but anyway) that I had to put through VCDEASY to get it to even play right....is it because of the higher video rates everyone is using or the fact that I live in Canada and everyone ripping or converting is in the UK etc and their rip isn't compatible here?....Most of the kvcds are out of sync except if I rip the mpg and play on the computer but when burned they're no good....Like I said I've only had one really work..........

Does anyone have a template that'll work here properly?

One other thing I've been trying the KSVCD template but when i go to convert i get this error: EInvalidPointer at 00002F02 of module TMPGEnc.exe Invalid Pointer operation.

as well as:EInvalidOperation caused at 0003AF89 of module TMPGEnc.exe.Display can not be chagned while OnShow/OnHide event.

This seems to happen with all the templates I try......

Hi Quible,

You should download and try the KVCD compatibility image version 2. This way you can try all resolutions on your player. Get the image in the "What's happening" section of the forum, and burn it with Nero.

Hi Quible,

I think that one more important thing was left out - - your DVD model.

Have you first searched in the dvd-models ??

If may all turn out that your DVD model may have to be mux or something
like that before it can work.

(MPEG-2)
I have the Apex AD-1500, and I knew that it wont play 528x480 but WILL
play encodes done w/ 544x480 resolution. That's just an example. So,
do take a looksees over there (above link) and see just what your DVD
model is capable.
It may just turn out that your DVD model may not be listed. If so, (which
I doubt) then your model could be considered beta (compatibility'wise)
until kinks/issues are found and work-arounds are mades, if they can be.

I own a Samsung S222 and I've downloaded samples of movies like the 1cd sample for LOTRTT and it played fine all the samples seem to play fine but when I did the whole movie it just skipped and jerked the whole time.....

And what is mux???

I think my head's gonna explode from all the info I've been reading over the past little while.......but I'd really like to perfect this....
