Using CinemaCraft with KVCD matrix?

Hi guys

I just took the matrix setting of KVCD template and patch it into CCE 2.5, it is encoding now, video only, 4 hours left compare to Tmpeg 24 hours -:)

I'll let you know if the result look good and about the file size.

Would love to hear your results. I thought I had read that CCE suggested using TMPGEnc for all things mpeg-1, and only use CCE for mpeg-2 (svcd) things. The added speed would be nice though.

TMPEG is far better than CCE for MPEG-1.

Hi Omega,

Did you patch only the Matrix, or did you also manage to change GOP parameters in CEE?
How did you do that?

CEE being way faster than TMPGENC, I would like to experiment GOP tweaking based on KVCD for SVCD format.

There's a CCE patcher at:

http://www.dvbpool.de/tsunami/uebersicht.html

I just replace the matrix in the INI file with KVCD one

And no, I haven't tried the GOP setting.

@kwag

You're right kwag, the quality is not as good as Tmpeg, I would say 8/10 but it's much faster .... and of course you don't have features like resize, deinterlace, contrast etc but you can use avisynth to do that.

btw, the file size is about the same compare to tmpeg.

Just thinking about what you are saying and maybe its my maths but wouldn't that be dvd comliant on 2cds?

But would it be dvd quailty? 720x576?

Also what is your q. matrix? I need it for playing with cce
