Hi there,
I have been using KDVD with pull-down (set as default), I am wondering if it is still necessary to use pull-down for KDVD to be played in progressive DVD player and progressive TV/Plasma?

Is pull-down just a flag which tells the DVD player what framerate should play? I think there is no quality difference between 23.976 (with pull-down) and a true 23.976, am I correct?

Hi syk2c11,

In a short answer, it you have a progressive TV, you don't need 3:2 pulldown
3:2 is only needed for interlaced systems, where it just takes the 23.976 and adds 6 frames to each second of video.
I want one of those TVs
