Problem running BBMPEG, the program aborts

Just changed to WindowsXP. Downloaded BBMPEG. When I:

Start Encoding
Settings
Input and Output Files

the program aborts.

You'll have to select 'load' and then 'cancel' when the program is started. After that the program will work fine.

Do I have to do this each time I use?

Also, when I capture tv with virtualvcr into a 640x480 avi file, how do I extract audio to mux with the m1v from kvcd produced with avs script?

Yes. It's a bug in BBMpeg. There's a patch to correct that somewhere, but it never worked for me!

Open the captured mpeg file with TMPEG tools and demux it. Then discard the video stream and use the demuxed audio with your KVCD encoded mpeg file.

The XP patched .dll for BBMpeg can be found on this page: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/avi2mpg2.html . It works for me! :) No clicking "load" and "cancel". Might be worth a try if you find the workaround to be a bit annoying.

The link is dead :(

Hmm...you're right. For some reason, the link is coming up dead when you click on it. Try manually typing it into your browser instead. I just did and it worked fine.
