Please help me Kwag, you’ve helped me before and never let me down so I’m confident this time you will come through as well, thanks!

My object is to use the kvcdx2 template with the 704 x 480 resolution to make a movie using mpeg-2 as the stream type with 3:2 pulldown when playback so that it will convert with 23.967 fps and 29.97 internally. When I burn the movie to dvd it always skips or stutters at certain scenes, I think it’s due to AUTOPADDING because when I add the movie to vcdeasy it gives me this vcd warning “this mpeg file requires autopadding…. You may be unable to watch it correctly…”, which is true the movie skips and stutters and the audio gets out of sync after an hour into the movie.

Can you please tell me why this is happening, I first rip the movie using dvd decryptor, then use dvd to avi, then set up the template in tmpgenc and burn with dvd moviefactory, but everytime the movie is played it has those problems, if I make the movie with the same templates but use mpeg-1 stream type instead of mpeg-2 it plays with no problems, but in order to record it to dvd I need it as mpeg-2 with 23.967 fps (internally 29.97) and the audio khz at 480000. Please help and please excuse my long message but I’ve had this problem for about 3 weeks now and tried to solve it on my own but to no avail, thanks for listening and helping, bye!

Hi RAVEN2K2,

What program and settings are you using to multiplex your file?
You have to multiplex your mpeg2 as SVCD and not as MPEG2 program.

I think the problem is with Ulead DVD Moviefactory burning to DVD, because right before I burn I play the movie and after 1 hour the voice is in sync but when I burn to dvd it gets out of sync within 30 mins and than after an hour it's off like about 2 seconds, so I know it's Moviefactory, how can I prevent it from un syncing the sounds. Or is there another dvd burning program I can try that won't unsync my audio, thanks!

Oh, man... I thought you are trying to burn an SVCD with VCDEasy.
I don't have a DVD burner and never used Moviefactory.
I hope someone with more experience with this software can help you.
