I know it probably wont do it, but i was wondering if there was a way i could open up an mpeg-1 file in moviestacker?

What id like to do but cannot find a way to do it is to frameserve a mpeg-1 file into an .d2v or .avi so moviestacker can pick it up then i can use it with TOK.

At this moment i am unable to figure a way around it...

tks

hi TKS,

if it's an MPEG-1, vdub will open it. You can frameserve vdub ( *.vdr )
files can you ?

Other'wise, you can open in vdub, then save as filename.vdr and
open it AVS script, THEN feed that into ToK - - I think

But, I think that AVIsynth can open an MPEG-1 file as well. Why not do
it that way ??

Either way should work though.

Hi TKS !
Try this line in your avs script :

DirectShowSource("Your mpg.mpg")

instead of AviSource
It works for me every time

Thankx folks...

I did a bit of looking around on this site and found some interesting stuff... Ill try it and see what happens..

Ive tried to frameserve the mpeg from vdub to moviestacker but MStacker say s its "beyond" something or other.. cant quite remember...

Ill try adding that line in an avs script..

I tried using an avi wrapper of sorts and that worked when i loaded it up into moviestacker, but when that avs script into tmpgenc it said alot about not being able to do something with YUY2 or something.. Sorry about the vagueness I just got home from work ...

tks

You could try adding the line ConvertToYUY2() to the beginning of your script.
