With ACM audio, try to do a direct strem copy of the audio and save the wave file, then rename it to .ac3. Then you can open it in your audio program of choice (I use besweet), then convert it to mp2. Thats the only way I've found to get ac3 to work and still, a lot of the time the audio falls out of sync for me.

is acm audio a program to use??

if i use direct stream copy with v dub the file size is not that big compare to full processing mode?

ACM is similar to MP3. Its a technology used to compress audio. Whenever you run audio through virtualdub using the "full processing mode" you are basically trying to "uncompress" the audio, that way you can run it through filters or in your case just save it to an uncompressed wave file. The problem is, VirtualDub doesn't handle ACM very well at all. There are a few patches and rebuilds that work okay, but its just easier to copy the compressed audio out and let some other software decompress it. So try doing a direct stream copy, renaming the extension to acm or ac3 and running it through and audio program, like besweet or headac3, and let that program convert it to mp2.

Hope this help..

Yeah?

But the problem was how to get ac3 as I understand. My way: avi2wav.
After that I agree. GoldWave -> HeadAC3he!

I dind't try that trick you with vdub and direct stream. Cool idea! :D

I'd recomend using HeadAC3he to convert directly from AC3, Goldwave takes a long time to do anything IME....but use whatever works best for you.
