KVCD: Aspect Ratio, vertical aspect is stretched?

Hello all. This is a great, very informative site and I have another question. I did a search of the forum first, but didn't fit any threads that I felt fit my problem.

I've put a couple of movies onto CD, "Blue Thunder" (109 min.) and "Black Hawk Down" (144 min.). They both look pretty good, in my opinion, but the aspect ratio is just slightly off. The vertical aspect is stretched ever so slightly. I used the method described in Kwag's great "Guide to Convert DVD to KVCD."

Did I miss anything?

Hi Frunobulax,

First of all, the guide you described "Guide to Convert DVD to KVCD", is not my guide. It's black prince guide :D.
To get the correct aspect ratio displayed, use MovieStacker or SwiftAVS. These programs will generate an .avs script that will create the correct resizing options, and TMPEG will encode with the correct aspect.

Oops! My bad. My sincere apologies to Black Prince!

Thanks for the info, though, Kwag.

Thanks again, Kwag. The advice worked like a charm.

Now I'm playing around with chapters and putting a menu with stills into a VCD, so I'll see how that goes...
