VirtualDub: Mpeg import filter - pack synchronization error

when ever i load a certain type of file i guess it tells me "Mpeg import filter - pack synchronization error"...can anyone tell me what this is, and how i can get around it.

What type of file would that be? If it's MPEG2, download VirtualDubMPG2...I don't remember the exact link though.... try searching on Google.
