first of all lemme say thanks to you guys for your hard work and for such a great template. after countless hours of browsing forums and trial and errors (i r n00b) i finally succeeded in making my first KDVD well sort of.. when i play the disk the video studders slightly when there is movement sorta like a small hiccup every second or so. when theres not much movement (people standing there talking) its fine. the source is an anime divx file. i used the script that tootall made for anime. im using tmpeg with the kdvd full ntsc template to encode, dvdlab to author and nero to burn. while the studdering problem isnt too big of a problem it does kinda get annoying after a while. do anyone know whats going on or what im doing wrong? and also is it supposed to take 6 hours to encode a 23 min movie? i have a P3 1gig with 512 ram. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

I did a 45 min clip the other day and it took 3.5 hrs on a P4 2 gig, it all depends on the filters you are using, also if you are encoding at full D1 720x480/576 there are more pixels to encode si it will take a while.

As for the stuttering you could try authoring with a different app say ulead dvd movie factory (just as a test there is a trial version available for d/l on there website) .

Have you tried the Dvd in a different player?

Does it do the same if you play the Dvd with a software dvd player on your pc?

Hi Kenshin88,

It could be that your AVI was encoded at a different frame rate as the one set in KDVD templates. If you play your encoded VOBs in WinDVD or PowerDVD, do you see the same stuttering
