how to burn the movie in one cd from avi?

Hello everyone,
Can someone please help me. I'm completely new to all this stuff of video burnig. I do not know anything about it, except the little bits I've learned by reading the threads you guys have here. I want to try converting a divx movie in to kvcd. The movie I'm "playing" with is the Matrix. I've followed everthing I read from the "convert divx to kvcd" guide from black prince (up to the moviestacker part, I didn't know what to do next with tok.) but it seem that I'm missing something. I was able to do the audio but not the video when I started to do my sampling in tmpegenc as the "kvcd guide" says, I didn't get anything like the kvcd guide said. My sample was only 440 kb in size( with CQ value of 100). Could someone please guide me thru from the biggining on how to burn the matrix in one cd from divx. Now please remember I'm completely new to everything so If I sound stupid please forgive me. Thank you for your help in advance.
:)

If your sample was that small at CQ100 you probably just encoded an error message...did you try playing the sample?

Actually yes you are right. The sample is not part of the movie. I played the sample and instead of the actual movie it shows something like: Plugin C:\documents and settings\xpuser\mydocuments\moviestacker\filter\mp eg2dec.dll is not an avishnth 2.5 plugin. This is what I see when I play the clip. Any Ideas of what it is that I did wrong.

Thanks for your help. GDG

I believe most people here are still using Avisynth 2.07 or 2.08 until 2.5x is a bit more stable. I'd suggest trying one of those instead. Do a search for one of Shodan's posts, and in his signature there should be a link to his website where you can download the latest Avisynth Version 2.08 Legacy. It works great.

Thank you for that advice. I did it and it worked. Now I have the sample clip and it's fine. Now I will try to encode the full movie and then mux it and see what happens. I will let you guys know how did it go. Thank you both for your help, it feels a big relief that you guys reply to the concerns others have. Thanks a bunch.
